Summary: When a stripper is admitted to the hospital as one of Bailey's suckups' patients, the suckups in question begin pondering "dance names," which can't possibly end well...

"Who's presenting?"

"Female, 26 years old, with radiating pain in the lower back," George O'Malley piped up, as Izzie and Meredith looked on. Dr. Bailey stared at him, oddly.

"O'Malley, aren't you forgetting something?"

George and the other interns stared blankly at their resident, who sighed in frustration. "Her NAME, George. What is the patient's NAME?"

George turned bright red. "Chasmmphmmph" he mumbled. Bailey put her hands on her hips.

"What?"

"Erm...erm...Chastity....ehhh..Looselips."

Meredith and Izzie stifled laughter, and Bailey just glared. "O'Malley, that is NOT funny," she snapped.

"No, it's fine, ma'am," gritted the patient, Chastity. "It's my stage name. I use it on most of my legal documents - makes it easier to pay the bills," she said. George continued to stare at his feet. "I'm a dancer. Exotic."

Bailey nodded and continued with her assessment. "We've gotten some test results back, and it looks like she's got a degenerated disc near her L5S1. Page Dr. Shepherd."

"Chastity LOOSELIPS!? SERIOUSLY?" Meredith guffawed. Izzie laughed, waving a forkful of lettuce around.

"I know, right? You'd think she'd have chosen a better stage name than that." Meredith looked at Izzie, interestedly.

"Izzie...if you were to be a stripper, what would you pick for your name?" she asked, curiously. Izzie stared at her lettuce for a moment, thinking, before decisively closing her eyes and chomping the forkful.

"I have no..mmph..idea," she mumbled around the mouthful of greenery. Meredith sighed, and Izzie swallowed. "What about you?"

"No idea, either. I mean, you'd want something tasteful, but not too demure or anything...it's hard to think of something good, actually."

"Cobra," chimed in a voice that was neither Izzie's nor Meredith's.

Izzie and Meredith turned in their chairs, only to find Addison Montgomery-Shepherd looking at them with nothing but vast amounts of amusement in her eyes.

"A cobra's beautiful, but powerful, and deadly. The perfect stripper name."

Meredith made a thoughtful noise. "Hmm, that could work, actually."

Addison winked at them. "Have a good day, ladies."

As Addison walked away, Izzie stood up quickly. "I just remembered I have a patient I forgot to check on," she told Meredith. Meredith rolled her eyes.

"Izzie, I'm not even gonna ask what you're really doing. Seriously. That's not even an excuse anymore. The forgetting to check on a patient thing, you know? Everyone uses it, no one ever means it."

"Right, Mere. I'll see you later."

Five minutes later, Izzie had her back to the wall in the on call room, Addison holding her there firmly and attacking the soft curve between her neck and her shoulder. Izzie giggled softly, eliciting a Look and an arched eyebrow from Addison.

"Something funny, Stevens?" she queried in her best busting-interns voice as she backed away slightly. Izzie just dissolved into more giggles.

"Seriously, Addie?" she snickered. "Cobra as YOUR dance name? I don't see it. That's totally not a stripper name. That's like the worst stripper name ever. And Meredith totally bought it. WOW. You're good."

Addison looked at her, one eyebrow still arched skeptically, then pressed Izzie back against the wall. "Who says I was kidding?" she whispered into Izzie's ear, before nibbling on the blond girl's earlobe. Izzie shivered, then smiled.

"Fine, it's a good name." Addison bit down a little harder. "Ahhh...fine, it's a great dance name. It's obviously a great dance name for you. Hooray." Addison eased off Izzie's ear and grinned at the woman who clearly wanted her so badly.

"Ssss." she hissed comically, clawing the air. At this, Izzie could take it no more. She burst out laughing, and spun Addison, who had also dissolved into giggles, around. She pushed her to the lower bunk bed in the on-call room, and kissed her, hard. She thrust one cold hand up under the light salmon-colored scrub top, exploring the warm smoothness of Addison's stomach. And just as her fingertips brushed the curve of Addison's right breast, her pager went off. One of her patients was coding.

"SHIT," she swore as she got up. Addison kissed her gently on the cheek.

"Ssh, it's all right, Izzie."

"Next time, this better not happen."

"Well next time, you have to call me by my dance name," Addison cracked. Izzie threw a pillow at her and fled the room, giggling, Addison smiling after her.

Isabel Evans had vowed never to use her powers again.

She'd changed her name, gone to med school, and filled out thousands of forms without waving her hand once. She'd interacted with people, gotten her way and proved her dominance without having to enter a single dream. She'd finagled her way through school without creating dollar bills, by doing what she'd once dreamed of doing - modelling. Isabel Evans - Isobel Stevens - had managed to become successful without supernatural abilities.

That was before Addison.

Addison Montgomery-Shepherd was a nut that Izzie could not seem to crack. Izzie, the intern who could suture and cut and heal, couldn't figure out what to do about the most attractive human being she'd ever come into contact with.
She'd seen Addison looking at her, imagined that Addison was undressing her with her eyes, and she'd blush and look away, unwilling to travel down Meredith's path and begin relations with a married attending. But Addison's eyes said otherwise.

And yet...there was one thing she could do.

Though she'd sworn never again to do it, one night, Izzie found a staff picture of Addison and a few other ob/gyns that she'd worked with, focused hard, and went to sleep.

She found herself staring at a scene she'd never considered that Addison would think up.

When Izzie had entered Maria's dreams back in high school, she'd giggled, later, at the imaginative scene of fake-looking, rubbery, tentacled aliens that Maria thought were attacking her. It had been highly comical. This time - this time - was different, oh so different.

She emerged in a barely-lit bedroom, staring at Addison's back - and Addison, in turn, knelt at the side of a huge bed, one hand stroking another girl's flat stomach and thigh as the girl touched herself, writhing and hissing in pleasure. It took Izzie a few seconds to realize that she was looking at herself, lying on that bed - and everything clicked into place.

"Addison," she whispered. The woman turned, glaring balefully at whomever dared to interrupt what she was doing. When she saw who it was, she gasped.

"You...but...you're right here..." The Izzie on the bed faded as Addison's attention was drawn away. Izzie backed away from Addison, hands up.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to intrude. I just wanted to visit - to see...figure out what you were thinking," she stated, looking directly into Addison's eyes. Addison shivered visibly, and took a step closer. "I can't interfere, anything that happens here has to be of your own volition," she continued.

Addison shut her up with a kiss, and everything went downhill from there.

Derek Shepherd awoke in the middle of the night, startled. His wife was writhing around, making strange noises, and he could only imagine she was having a nightmare. He shook her gently, and after a few moments she shuddered, took a few gasping breaths, and then sighed deeply, before falling silent again.

Derek could have sworn it sounded like an orgasm.

The next day at work, Addison was the one blushing when she caught Izzie staring at her. Izzie held her gaze for a few seconds, and then dropped her head, giggling to herself, planning what she'd do to Addison that night.

Perhaps it wasn't such a bad idea to use her powers after all.

concept stuff.

In this world, rather than every vertebrate being based on a basic 4-limbed structure (whether or not the limbs are vestigal), everything is based on a 6-LIMBED structure, instead.

There are four classes of vertebrates, similar to the ones that exist now.

They are:

class Avia (flying/egglaying, basically like birds)
class Tetra (mammals)
class Scalia (reptiles/amphibians)
and class Liquia (fishies, but also air-breathing water dwellers.)

In addition, there are multiple sentient species within each class.

Class Avia - the six limbs include four limbs for locomotion, and two FEATHERED limbs used for flying.

Sentient species identify themselves as Aviats. Aviats as a whole can all interbreed; the species range in size from around a meter to two meters in height. There are males and females of every species. The species are really not very different from each other. All Aviats have the same basic body type; hollow bones, a thin frame, and big wings in relation to body size. Aviats typically have very delicate features, and their ear is covered in feathers, giving the illusion that there is another set of small wings attached to the head. Hair is typically light-colored and thin, and can be naturally mottled (spotty/streaky.) Aviat eyes are ALWAYS either jet-black or palest blue. Wings are also typically natural-colored (think of an earth bird, any earth bird - and there's a corresponding Aviat family for that bird type.) If Aviats interbreed, their species-specific genes do not mix; offspring will have the species-specific features of only ONE parent, except in VERY rare cases.

non-sentient species include griffin-like creatures, with four non-dextrous limbs and a pair of wings, known as Talanats.

Class Tetra - six limbs include one pair of dextrous hand-arm limbs, and four limbs for locomotion (think centaur.)

Sentient species identify themselves as Tetrans, with sub-names (eg: Tetrafeline, Tetralupine, etc). Tetrans as a whole can SOMETIMES interbreed, although interbred offspring are not usually healthy. Species size varies greatly, from half a meter to over four meters in size. There are, again, males and females of every species. The species characteristics vary intensely, although the upper half of the body is usually hairless, resembling a human torso. Facial structure varies, as does hair/eye color. Lower body can be anything from catlike to horselike to rodentlike, anything mammalian.

non-sentient species vary greatly, and resemble earth species with an extra pair of legs.

Class Scalia - six limbs vary; can resemble Tetran, except with scaly lower bodies, or Aviat, except with leathery, scaled wings, or naga-like, with arms and vestigal legs, resembling the lower body of a snake.

Sentient species identify as a WHOLE as Scalians. Every individual species has its own self-given name. Not many are known to those who are NOT Scalian, so collectively the rest of the world jst calls them Scalians or "Scalies", a derrogative term. Scalians can NOT interbreed. Species characteristics are VASTLY different, although all have hard pointed ears and eyes ranging in color from amber to brightest yellow. The human-like part is always covered in scales, and the scales can range vastly in color, though the majority are natural colors like brown or earthy green.

non sentient species also vary greatly. Dragons exist here.

Class Liquia - six limbs vary; typically two humanoid arms/hands, occasionally at least partially webbed; lower body is either fishlike with four propelling fins, or squidlike, with four tentacles.

Sentient species are sub-divided into two classes; finned and non-finned. Finned species can interbreed, as can non-finned. Non-finned liquians are always hairless, while hair on finned species is limited ONLY to the head. Like Scalians, Liquians are covered in scales. Eyes can be any colors, and are usually unnatural in color.

nonsentient species vary greatly, mostly resembling earth fish, only six-finned instead of four-finned.

Political story:

Each sub-species kept to itself until about five hundred years ago, when the Tetrans decided they wanted slaves. The Tetrans enslaved Scalians and Aviats. This lasted about three hundred years, until the Scalian/Aviat slaves revolted worldwide and fled from Tetran civilization. Two hundred years and several inter-class wars later, the groups have a grudging peace. Some Tetrans can get along with the S/As, but many are prejudiced and treat S/As as less than sentient. Scalian-heavy cities were built away from Tetran cities, and Aviat cities were built in huge groves of trees, above the reach of a typical Tetran. Peaceful trade goes on between groups.
Liquians were not involved in this enslavement, however they do have contact with the other three groups, and it is peaceful. All three land groups are mildly unsettled by the Liquians, who on a whole are reputed to be vicious, coldblooded, vengeful creatures....however, like most generalizations, this is mainly untrue. =)

So there was a poll on the GA community about who Mere is going to choose. But I say....
Mere's totally going home alone at the beginning of next season. I CAN SEE IT. Unless Finn gives her a ride home, maybe. But that's not definite.

And that's my opinion....

(And then Addison's going to go find Izzie. And there will be lots of brokencryingsex. OH NOES.)

Possible GA Pirate AU fic in the works. I have a lot of time on my hands at work to think about these things. Which is bad. I've got pretty much the whole MereVO thought out in my brain if she were part of a pirate ship. Woo woo....

Preston Burke was not a happy man.

Hewasn't stupid. He could put two and two and two together. Sometimes notright away, but the solution would usually hit him after a few seconds.

Cristinahad not slept at home that night. She'd been on-call. And yet Cristinahad that post-coital happy look that she usually had the morning afterthey had amazing sex. Scratch that, after they had regular sex. Becauseseriously. He was Preston Burke. Even his regular sex was amazing. Butright now, right at this moment when he had time off and he knew shedid too, she was no-where to be found.

He'd suffered through along, silent elevator ride, too, with an angry, angry he-Shepherd toboot. Shepherd had been at the hospital all night, working on twodifferent surgeries, with only a short break in between. From what he'dheard, though, the surgeries had been successful - and yet, he had thatgloomy, brooding look on his face, like that time at the prom when Greyhad shown up with another man for a date.

The final piece ofthe puzzle was a sheet of paper he found at the nurse's station, withthe names and dates of the all-night on call shifts for the week. Hiseye caught on last night - Yang, C., O'Malley, G. and Grey, M. were the only names listed. As far as he knew, George was the only one who hadscrubbed in on Shepherd's surgery...

...and suddenly, a crazy thought hit him.

"Nothey DIDN'T..." he muttered, as he headed for the on-call room. As heturned the knob, he heard a familiar moan, and he paused-

- Just rip the stitches, Burke -

-andthere it was, in all its glory. Cristina pressed against the wall,Meredith Grey with those thin little fingers pressed inside her and herother arm holding Cristinas' above her head. Meredith's face was buriedin the crook of Cristina's neck, and Cristina's head was thrown back,eyes closed, that sweet little grin on her face that Burke loved somuch.
